Due to a combination of factors there has been a hiatus in events held by Imagination Club Australia during 2012. It is my intention to re-establish Imagination Club events to attract a broader cross-section of the creative and business community, innovation-minded people, and those interested in seeking change and looking at things from a different perspective.

As someone who is interested in the Imagination Club philosophy, if you have any suggestions please send them along.

Presently there is no timeline in place for future events… stay tuned.

Stuart Ayling

At Imagination Club yesterday we worked on creating the components of a story using the template provided by the facilitator Stuart Ayling. This is the result.

This was the last session for 2011. We’ll be back in February 2012 (possibly with some changes to the format of the sessions).

It’s nearly the end of the year. And that means this session will be the last Imagination Club Australia event for 2011.

What’s happening this time?

  • Does it really work?
  • What are the elements of a great story?

About this workshop:

Everyone is a Mind Gardener.  Every day, every thought, every response changes your mind in some way.  A healthy mind, like a healthy garden, requires cultivation, pruning and nourishment.  The 100 billion neurons in your brain are just like branches reaching out and connecting with each other.  What do you do to cultivate useful neural connections in your mind?  How can we cultivate connections for creativity, happiness and success? How does the information age impact on our mind and our creativity?

Participants will leave the session with:

  • Knowledge from neuroscience, mindfulness and positive psychology fields about our minds and the way they develop.
  • Practical tools for cultivating the mind you want.
  • An understanding ways our thoughts and reactions can help or limit happiness, creativity and clarity.

About Louise Healy:

Louise Healy is passionate Mind Gardener.  She has been with the organisation since its inception.  She has post graduate qualifications in psychology and over 15 years experience in assisting individuals and organisations to cultivate the right conditions for success, adaptiveness and happiness.

“Really enjoyed tonight and I will certainly be back next month. They are an interesting group of people and it was refreshing to see people being able to express their viewpoints without being shouted down etc.”

“Stuart that was a very interesting few hours. Really enjoyed it. Thank you to you and Stephen.”

About this workshop:

Does your imagination really help you, or does it hold you back? Is your imagination any different to your current personal beliefs? This provocative session will assess the value of imagination.

  • Where does your imagination come from?
  • Are you just re-creating your beliefs, or are you imagining something new?
  • Is there any proof that you can create your future by imagining it?
  • Do you have the WILL to imagine?

About Stephen Dale:

Stephen Dale helps people to create a successful life by making change real… without the BS. After a serious accident from which he was never expected to live – yet alone make a recovery – Steve has committed himself to studying the power of personal choice and developing practical steps to help anyone create a better future for themselves.

Due to local Brisbane holidays during the third week of August, for this month only Imagination Club will meet on the fourth Monday, namely August 22nd.
